On the very first class of Introduction to Construction Industry,
I'm so bewildered by what we will be learning.
And I thought this subject is very easy and nothing much to learn.
However, I was wrong and I had gained a lot of knowledge about this subject.
Assignment 1 :
Mindmap about Construction industry.
We were divided into group and were given a task to create a mindmap
about the construction industry.
We enjoyed doing this assignment as we get to meet new friends and learn how to do project together.
Also, this assignment helps me a lot in knowing more about the Construction Industry clearly.
The collage about My place and my memories.
After that, we were given an individual assignment to make a collage about "My Place, My Memories".
This project has caught my interest and very soon, I've started to do some brainstorming about the topic.
I decided to do my collage based on my hometown which is Johor Bahru.
I've included some place in Johor Bahru, such as Desaru, Ostrich Show Farm, Zoo Negeri Johor, Dataran Johor Bahru, Danga Bay , Masjid Sultan Abu Bakar and more.
With much appreciation, our lecturer Pn. Has, were so helpful and gave me a lot of advice on this project.
And within a week, I've completed the collage.
Although it is simple , but I like my first piece of work very much.
Assignment 2 :
As for the second assignment, it is a combination of group work and individual work.
My group members are See Cul Wei, Tan Ai-Qi and Chiang Kah Wai.
This is a project about making a proposal to the client.
I've decided to come out witha proposal about a Vintage and Retro Cafe on an empty space located at Block B of Taylor's Lakeside Campus.
The theme of the cafe is very old school with a lot of antique, old table and chairs.
It is a cosy and heartwarming cafe that will bring you back to the 60's.
Below are some of my work on the proposal.
For example, the introduction, budget costs and also the plan of the cafe.
Assignment 3 :
Lastly, this assignment is about making a video in a group.
The video we have to film are about the problems faced during the process of a construction project.

From here, I've learnt that in the construction industry, it requires a lot of compromising and cooperation among the team members of a project.
This assignment had given me a chance to gain more knowledge about the construction industry.
In addition, special thanks to my friends, Jeffrey and Adrian who helped us out a lot.
In conclusion, I've really enjoyed all the assignment and lectures given by Pn. Has and Mr. Leong.
